Dr. Dennis Vrooman

Dr. Vrooman has owned Beach Pet Hospital since 1987. He received his undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Cornell University. Dr. Vrooman is a member of AVMA, VVMA, Virginia Academy of Veterinary Medicine, and the Richmond Academy of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially surgery, internal medicine and endocrinology.  His hometown is N. Clymer, NY. He and his wife, Chris, have four children and two sons-in-law, Tamara and her husband Gary,  Marisa, Nathan and Rachel and her husband,Corey. And the first of the grandchildren will be arriving this December and February!  They have one cat, Seaney, and three mixed-breed mutts, Killian, Flippy Dog and Boomer.  Dr.Vrooman enjoys reading, and traveling to their mountain property in the Blue Ridge where they have a small flock of sheep and one Maremma guard dog named Dan. They hope to soon start a vineyard there. His favorite pastime is driving his speedy Cobra replica car that he and his son built in 2005.
