Beach Pet is excited to offer ultrasonography as part of our diagnostic services to better serve your pet's health care needs. Ultrasound enhances other diagnostic services such as radiography and pathology by allowing better visualization of the interior organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. It gives us a better visualization of structural integrity, discovery of neoplasms/tumors and evaluation of organ function. This technology can also alert us to abnormalities in the abdominal cavity or lymphnodes that would normally not be visible on radiographs. Ultrasound is a noninvasive procedure; therefore, minimizing the need for anesthesia or sedation.

We are equipped with the capability to have our images evaluated by specialists over the internet via “Telemedicine”.  This allows for a much faster diagnosis and allows our patients to get the care they need without being driven offsite. We are capable of scanning animals of any size, from parakeets to rabbits to Great Danes. Ultrasonography is becoming an important tool in veterinary medicine and we are proud to make it available to our clients to better assist in our evaluation of their pet's health.
