Beach Pet offers “Cold Laser Therapy,” a painless technique that aids in wound healing and serves as an adjunct to traditional pain management protocols.
We purchased our equipment from Companion Therapy Laser, the leader in the development of high technology “Phototherapeutic Laser Systems” used for the treatment of companion pets. Designed to relieve your pet’s pain as well as enhance healing, the Companion Laser Therapy system is the most powerful laser therapy system available today.
How does it work?
Therapy Laser treatment uses a non-focused laser beam that affects the area at a biological and cellular level. Photons of light from the laser penetrate deeply into the tissue and accelerate cellular reproduction and repair. It is warm to the skin, offering a “soothing” type of feeling to your pet.
What can it be used for?
Therapy Laser can also be used to reduce swelling and accelerate healing times of soft tissue injuries including open wounds, lick granulomas, post-surgical incisions, arthritis, back/ joint pain, muscle, ligament, tendon injuries and other chronic inflammatory conditions. It is a non-invasive addition to the management of pain and can be used along with pain-relief medications such as Deramaxx, Rimadyl and Metacam.

What does a treatment consist of?
There is no sedation or restraint required. The experience is pleasant and comforting to most pets. Although improvement is sometimes seen after the first treatment, most patients require several treatments, typically ranging from five to twenty minutes for best results.
We are excited to offer this technology in our hospital and look forward to helping your pets live a more comfortable life!
