Ashley is a 2008 graduate of James Madison University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She continued her education at San Juan College and graduated as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2014. She is a member of the Virginia Association of Licensed Veterinary Technicians.
A Pennsylvania native, Ashley moved to VA Beach with her family in 2000 and has called Hampton Roads home ever since. Animals have always been Ashley’s first true love and so she easily found comfort being a part of the Beach Pet Hospital team. She is the proud momma of Simcoe, a very handsome Beagle, and an auntie to an Australian Kelpie mix named Wednesday. When not loving on the animals in her life, Ashley can be found enjoying what the local food and craft beer scene has to offer. She is also an avid football fan and can be found cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers every week during the season.
Amanda received her Bachelor's Degree in Science at ODU before beginning her LVT journey at Blue Ridge Community College from 2015 to 2018. Amanda began working for Beach Pet Hospital February of 2020, and has been a great asset to our team. She says, “The most important role being a technician is bringing the animals a voice when they cannot help themselves”. Amanda has quite a pack at home including 2 pit bulls named Bruiser and Tank, 2 Chihuahuas named Pickles and Pinto, and 2 kitty cats named Lady and Smudgie, and 3 goldfish named Squishy, Mr. Bubbles, and Goldie.
Amanda’s hobbies outside of work include fishing, floating in her pool, sunbathing at the beach, napping, going to the gym, and going on any sort of weekend adventures! Her idea of a perfect day is floating in her pool with her 2 chihuahuas with the sun blazing while she sips on a Pina Colada. An interesting fact about Amanda is that she is actually a twin!
Chloe started her Beach Pet journey as an assistant in 2017. She received her Associates of Science in Veterinary Technology at Tidewater Community College. Chloe passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE), obtaining her license in 2021. We are happy to have her on board as an LVT. She enjoys attending music festivals, sun bathing at the beach with her pups, eating sushi, and drinking wine. Her favorite part about being a tech is getting grump chihuahuas to like her, drawing blood, and reading lab samples.
Chloe has 2 sweet kitties named Oliver and Scarlett, but they go by “mister man” and “loaf”. Mister man will knock over anything you place on a table or surface, so don’t set your glass of red wine down around him! Sweet Loaf can be found eating your chicken sandwich when you turn your head. Chloe is also a mom to 2 chihuahuas named Frijoles and Flea (named after the Red Hot Chili Peppers). Frijoles, also known as Bean, can be found snoozing in his favorite jammies. Flea is a naughty little pup who likes to growl at everyone as they walk by...but she is the sweetest to her family!
Chloe does all of our social media and website work for Beach Pet. You may be asking, “who is writing this then?” That’s right, It’s me! I hope you enjoy getting to know us through our site.
